Tea Tree - spicy, penetrating scent

Tea Tree  is unusual in that it is active against all 3 categories of infectious organisms - bacteria, fungi and viruses.  It is a very powerful immunostimulant, so when the body is threatened by any of these, Tea Tree increases its ability to respond. 

 

I keep Tea Tree essential oil with me everywhere I go - in the shop, home and car. 

 

When I travel I always take a bar of Tea Tree Soap (click here for our recipe to make Tea Tree hand milled soap) and a spray bottle of the essential oil diluted in tap water to help guard against the germs inherent in public places.

  • Put about 15 drops of Tea Tree essential oil in a 8 ounce spray bottle of water to lightly mist all surfaces before you touch them.  I keep a bottle in my car to spray those nasty looking gas handles prior to pumping my gas and shopping cart handles.
  • I also keep a bottle in my bath.  After I finish getting ready in the morning I spray my vanity, tub and toilet and allow them to air dry.  Be careful that you do not spray your toothbrush.
  • Tea Tree is a great zit zapper.  Mix 2 parts Tea Tree with 3 parts Lavender pure essential oil and apply to the zit with a cotton swab daily.
