Peppermint has been used traditionally for various stomach complaints such as travel sickness, diarrhea, and heartburn. 

• Try putting a drop of this essential oil on your temples and back of neck to help relieve headaches.
• A few drops of peppermint and basil essential oil mixed in a 8 ounce spray bottle of witch hazel makes a great misting spray for your body during jogging, yoga, Pilates or aerobics.  Avoid spraying your face.
• Peppermint can also be used for its cooling effect.  Mix a few drops in a carrier oil to use as a body rub when you are running a fever.  Peppermint induces sweating which will help to reduce a fever in a natural way.  (To really increase sweating you can combine this essential oil with an epsom salts.  Click here for more information about epsom salts.)
• This essential oil also increases mental alertness.  Place a few drops on a warm compress and place on your forehead for a few minutes.
