Lemon - fresh, clean, sharp citrus fragrance
Lemon has a fresh, fruity aroma that cleanses, refreshes, cools and stimulates.
Lemon essential oil is used for the treatment of cellulite, oily skin and acne.
Lemon essential is too concentrated to use directly on your skin. Put a few drops in a steaming pot of water and use a towel as a tent to steam your face. Lemon essential oil can also be added to Witch Hazel as a toner. About 5 drops per 8 ounces of Witch Hazel should be sufficient. I buy 8 ounce bottles of Witch Hazel from discount drug stores for about 98 cents per bottle. With the addition of the lemon essential oil I have a effective, great smelling toner for a few cents more. Depending on my mood I sometimes also add lavender or tea tree essential oil. These are two great anti-fungal essential oils. I also add a few drops of lemon essential oil to the bath after I have done a lot of physical labor. It really seems to add cleansing power to the bathwater. You can add some to jojoba oil for a nice light summer time perfume. This astringent oil has been used in the pharmaceutical industry for hundreds of years. Widespread use is made of this oil in the production of perfumes, cosmetics, soaps, detergents and household cleaning products.
