Jasmine - powerful and exotic floral scent

  • Mind - Calming
  • Body - Nurturing
  • Spirit - Encouraging

Jasmine has a rich, long lasting, sensual aroma.  No other  essential oil can compare with the results this oil brings in the area of sexual attraction.   The effect of this essential oil is so strong it is eerie.

  • Add some jasmine oil to scentless lotion to use on your body.  This oil can also be used directly from the bottle, if you buy it as a dilution, on the skin as a perfume.  The oil is very strong so little is needed for positive results.
  • I use some to smooth my hair every morning.  I put about 8 drops on a wooden handled brush for a final brush through of the top layer of my  hair.  Do this and your hair will smell great and be very shiny.  The top layer of your hair will be smoothed down without an oily, greasy look.
  • To make a jasmine salt body scrub mix one cup of coarsely ground sea salt with one tablespoon of grapeseed oil and one tablespoon of jasmine essential oil (use a 3% or 10% solution to save money - you will still have the same exquisite scent).   After a warm shower, while your body is still wet, rub the sea salt mix over your entire body, excluding the neck and face area.  Shower the remains of the salt off and pat yourself dry.

Jasmine is very expensive and therefore is usually sold as a 3% or 10% dilution in sweet almond oil.

The reason it is so expensive is because enormous amount of flowers are needed to produce a small amount of oil. The flowers have to be gathered at night as the odour of jasmine is more powerful after dark. The Jasmine flowers are then laid out on cotton cloths soaked in olive oil for several days, then extracted leaving the true Jasmine essence.

We recommend the following products containing Jasmine:

  1. Susanne Lang Parfumerie custom blended jasmine note.  The term 'note' is often used to describe the scents in a cologne or perfume.   For example, in a scent blend the 'top note' would be the scent that you first sense or recognize.  This scent is supported by the underlying scents that add to the top note and give it body.
  2. Pure by Jil Sander - contains Jasmine and Cyclamen.  Cyclamen was used extensively in ancient Greek and Roman times as a holistic remedy for headaches and to elevate the spirits.
  3. Blush by Marc Jacobs - a light scent that scents your body as if you had brushed against a blossom laden vine of jasmine.
