Blue Lace Agate

Amethyst

Amethyst is a vibrant red-violet gemstone. 

It is a stone of love, spirituality and contentment.  It has absolutely no negative side effects and it is very useful for focusing in meditation.   A piece of amethyst placed before a white candle with pine incense burning is very conductive to meditative practices.

Amethyst possesses strong spiritual energy and is said to increase activity of the right side of the brain (the intellect).  Amethyst is used for psychic awareness as well as promoting sleep and intuitive dreams.  Cleopatra wore this gemstone in her royal ring.

It is the zodiacal stone for Aquarius

Aquamarine

Aquamarine is a transparent blue to sea-green crystal.   This beautiful stone is carried to enhance psychic powers.   It is a cleansing and purifying stone. 

Aquamarine is used to soothe and to calm emotional problems.  It is also excellent for energizing the immune system..  It is a stone of tolerance and  brings clarity of mind and perception – therefore an excellent gemstone for meditation.

Because of its association with water, aquamarines are good luck for those traveling by or over water.  Ancient Egyptians gifted aquamarine to Anubis to guarantee safe passage into the netherworld.

Aventurine

Aventurine is said to be an all around lucky stone.  Therefore, it is a popular talisman for gamblers.  If you wear Aventurine with any other stone it will amplify the natural magic power of that gemstone.

It is a green stone so it is a stone of peace, balance and is used in calming troubled emotions.

Bloodstone

Bloodstone is a  solid green or green with red flecks gemstone.  It is one of the varieties of quartz known as chalcedony.  It is an electromagnetic stone.

Ancient Egyptians wore it in thumb rings to calm, ground and revitalize.  Early Christians wore engraved Bloodstone amulets, which to the initiated denoted one of Christ’s followers.

It’s most famous use is to halt bleeding.  Bloodstone contains iron oxide which is an effective coagulator used in modern surgery.  It encourages body strength and long life.  Women wear it to prevent miscarriage and ease childbirth.  And, as it is a green stone it is used in wealth and business spells.

Bloodstone is zodiacal for Pisces. 

Carnelian

Carnelian is a member of the chalcedony crystal family.  It is a rich, clear to brownish red crystal. 

Carnelian is worn to promote peace and harmony.  As a warming gemstone it reacts well to the creative energy of the sexual emotions.  It also confers patience and is worn to bed to prevent bad dreams.  

If wearing carnelian makes you feel too agitated add cooling green or blue gemstones for balance.

Carnelian was one of the favorite gemstones of ancient Eqyptians and was often combined in ornamental jewelry with Turquoise.

Citrine

Citrine is a beautiful golden/clear glassy variety of quartz.  Citrine is invaluable as a healing crystal.  It is also helpful for psychic awareness, self-confidence,  security, dispelling fear & anxieties, promotes physical endurance and mental clarity.  Therefore,  Citrine increases a sense of direction in life.

It is also known as a stone of the shopkeepers - placing citrine in a shop's cash register is said to increase shop revenue.

Citrine is an alternate Zodiacal stone for Scorpio
