Apricot - has a sweet fruity/floral scent that is uplifting to the spirit.

Basil - basil is a very popular aromatic culinary herb.  Basil has a penetrating scent that is similar to camphor when used in candles.  It is protecting to the spirit and purifying to the body.  A candle with basil aromatic scent is excellent to use while preparing for an important task or business appointment  that  might not particularly be something that you want to do.
 
Bergamot - if you like the smell of Earl Grey tea you will love the scent of a candle made with bergamot.  Bergamot's citrus/floral scent is well known for it's antidepressant and soothing abilities.  This is a wonderful candle to burn in the morning on a weekend to signal the end of the work week and the beginning of your personal time.
 
Gardenia - has a rich, romantic floral scent.   It is pleasant and alluring.  A candle with gardenia scent is always a good choice for a guest bath that a woman will be using.
 
Lilac - is a flower of the moon, therefore it also is a wonderful scent for a candle that will be burned in a room predominately used by a woman.    Lilac also has a rich, floral scent.  It is not as a romantic a candle scent as gardenia.
 
Myrrh - has a dusty, woodsy spicy scent which is calming.   As this is a scent of nature, a candle with this scent would be good for an outside deck, patio or  garden.  Myrrh's sister scent is Frankincense.  The two scents combined are used to alleviate grief. 
 
Rose - rose has a heavenly, rich floral scent that is unlike any other floral scent.  The scent of rose is used extensively in quality perfumes.  Rose water is extremely soothing to the skin.  A candle with the aromatic addition of rose is similarly soothing.  Rose is also a very feminine scent which would be very appropriate for the bedroom.  Rose and jasmine scent combined creates sensual candle scent.  Rose combined with marjoram is another candle to burn to help alleviate grief.
 
Thyme - has a spicy, herbaceous scent.  A candle with this aromatic addition would be excellent to burn to clear the air after an argument.
 
Ylang Ylang - ylang ylang roughly translates to 'flower of flowers'.   This scent is used in very feminine, romantic candles as it has a rich, floral scent.  It is known as a love drawing scent while Jasmine is known as a lust drawing scent.  Ylang Ylang is sensualizing to the body and elevating to the spirit.
