You will also need some sort of muslin bag in which to place your bathing salts,
You could also use a square of muslin, cheesecloth, organdy or any other fabric that will allow the bath water to penetrate
easily.
To use a piece of fabric cut a 6 inch square of the fabric. Place your bathing salt mixture in the fabric
and make a pouch by tying the four corners together.
If you use finely ground salt you can also add it directly to the water. Just make sure it is completely dissolved
prior to entering the bath.

Now choose the herbs, plants, flowers and essential oils that you wish to add
to your bathing salts. For example:
- Lavender is gentle and helps relieve irritation
- Tea Tree is antiseptic and helps with flaking and infection
- Bergamot is soothing and smoothes the surface of your skin.
8 drops of essential oil per 1/2 cup of bathing salt is usually enough to create a healthful,
aromatic bathing salt.
Mix your bathing salts, essential oils and any other botanicals in a glass jar with a top.
For each bath pour 1/2 cup of the bathing salts in the muslin bag and swish in the bathing water.
Most muslin bags are reusable so after your bath remove the remaining contents and allow the
bag to dry. It will then be ready for your next healing, balancing bath.
